Temporary Lab Assistant

Position Information

Duties Include: RNA extraction; assistance with plant RNA collection, RNA library preparation; plant care; dishwashing; washing plant material; lab upkeep and organization.

Schedule: 35-40/hrs per week, M-F 9-5, occasionally weekends in lieu of a weekday.

Requirements and Preferences

Minimum Experience/Education: Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.

Department Required Skills: Lab experience with sterile technique, Experience working with plants, Possess an understanding transcriptional regulation and associated experiments for evaluation of changes in transcriptional regulation, Biochemistry training, Attention to detail.

Recruitment Details

Anticipated Hiring Range: $15-$22/hr.
