About the role
As a New Patient Coordinator II (NPC II), you will be set on the training path of an Orthodontic Assistant in training. Under the supervision of the orthodontist, the NPC II is responsible for learning and mastering various orthodontic procedures. You must demonstrate progress toward mastering these procedures and performing them independently or under the direction of the orthodontist. The NPC II will also act as a backup for the NPC role, which includes taking records (pictures and x-rays) used for creating a treatment plan for new patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing orthodontic appliances.
- Complete Full Arch Bonding top and bottom, as well as bonding fixed retainers.
- Perform debonding and rebonding brackets.
- Use various digital scanners.
- Make clear retainers.
- Deliver expanders, space maintainers, and forsus.
- Take clear x-rays and photos.
- Take accurate scans for retainers.
- Assist in sterilizing equipment.
- Maintain a clean working environment (including picture & X-ray area).
- Work with the Treatment Coordinator to ensure patient case acceptance by orchestrating a “warm hand-off” to the TC.
- Assist in meeting and/or exceeding monthly and annual clinic goals.
- Cover topics such as payment options and provide patients with general information regarding insurance coverage as it relates to orthodontics.
- In the event of traveling to another clinic, perform all duties and responsibilities of your role, including administrative tasks.
- Participate in marketing events.
- Complete annual compliance training.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Computer skills.
- Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic setting preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) required.
Schedule
Monday – Wednesday: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday - Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
2 Saturdays per month
Base location: N81W15180 Ste. B, Appleton Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051
This position requires travel to additional clinics for training and coverage purposes (Madison, Mount Pleasant, and Hales Corners).
