About the role
Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time New Patient Coordinator to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Mount Laurel Office. The New Patient Coordinator will oversee and coordinate all new patient registration processes, ensuring accurate data collection, verifying insurance, and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience for every new patient.
Responsibilities
- Respond to new patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments
- Gather and verify insurance information and benefits
- Ensure all information is entered accurately into the EMR
- Request prior medical records and scan them into the EMR when received
- Correspond with attorneys and nurse case managers
- Perform clerical duties, including answering phones and scanning documents
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the correct department
- Cross-train as a Medical Receptionist
- Participate in ad hoc projects to improve efficiency, patient satisfaction, and workflow optimization
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in healthcare registration, patient intake, or medical office coordination
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems required
- Good judgment, organizational ability, and initiative
- Attention to detail, self-motivated, and ability to anticipate physician needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Adaptable and versatile
- Comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards
Pay
$20–22/hour depending on specialty and experience
Schedule
40 hours per week, full-time
