NEW HOME CONSULTANT

About the role

At Wayne Homes, we guide customers in understanding more deeply what they need and want in a home. By helping them find the Wayne Homes floor plan that best suits their needs and assisting them in customizing that plan, you’ll create a perfectly personalized fit for the new homeowner. As a New Home Consultant, you’ll be the first impression most people have of Wayne Homes—be your natural, positive, well-informed, well-organized, happy-to-help self.

You’ll work full-time, including weekends (when most people shop for homes), but enjoy two consecutive days off during the week. Our Model Home Centers are closed on most major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Generate sales to meet sales goals
• Maintain thorough notes and updates in the sales system about your customers
• Conduct customer meetings—both in-person and virtual
• Utilize sales, construction, and marketing tools to educate customers
• Create custom drawings for customers based on their needs and wants
• Develop robust product knowledge, including specifications, warranties, and installation techniques
• Maintain model homes through daily model walks
• Accurately use the 3 Steps to Great Service method
• Go the extra mile for customers with small, special touches
• Seek opportunities for continual learning and growth
• Work with your Sales Manager to track, project, and plan for future sales

Requirements

• A driven individual with a desire for limitless earning potential
• Stable work history (sales experience preferred)
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Resilience and determination to succeed
