New Graduate RN Residency Program Home Health

UnitedHealth Group is offering a six-month paid residency program for new graduate registered nurses in Home Health. This comprehensive program combines classroom training with experienced clinical instructors, one-on-one mentorship, and field training in home settings, group homes, and assisted living facilities. Residents will receive interactive discussions, case studies, and clinical documentation training, with regular development meetings between residents, mentors, and managers. Throughout the program, you will gain experience in team collaboration, end-of-life and hospice services, readmission planning, discharge planning, referral processes, Netsmart and OASIS documentation, rehabilitation services, and managed care payors. You will complete an evidence-based capstone project under mentor direction and transition to an independent role with continued professional development support. The program includes training in nursing, therapy, social services, quality assurance, specialty outpatient clinics, and diagnostic labs. Residents must commit to two years of full-time employment following the residency.
