New Graduate Nurse Resident - Surgical Unit - Full Time - Days

Job Summary

Provides basic patient care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse. Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures (under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse). Facilitates processing of patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Provide documentation of completion of a program of registered nursing and eligibility to write the licensure examination in Oklahoma
• If the examination is failed after the second attempt, the Nurse Resident can no longer remain in the Nurse Resident position
• Graduates of registered nursing program with concurrent LPN license will also be placed in Nurse Resident role
• Licensure / Certification: Active Oklahoma LPN license or active Multistate LPN/LVN license, if applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
• Complete the 1yr Vizient Nurse Residency Program

Compensation & Benefits

• $25/hr. Rate will increase after passing NCLEX
• Evening differential $2.50/hr
• Night differential $3.00/hr
• Weekend differential $3.00/hr
