About the role

HCA Healthcare is committed to the growth and development of our future nurses through the HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Fairview Park Hospital. This year-long program provides hands-on experience to establish valuable clinical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced clinical training in a specialty area.
  • Participate in monthly educational sessions.
  • Undergo preceptorship training with a facility preceptor.
  • Measure and evaluate skills through hands-on simulations.
  • Mentor from experienced nurse leaders.
  • Collaborate on an evidence-based practice project.
  • Coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Avoidant patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teach patients, families and caregivers about their medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
  • No previous experience needed.
  • Some travel may be needed for training.
