Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering studies, including power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short-circuits, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies for domestic and international projects.
- Provide engineering-related design, analysis, and studies, and design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
- Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.
- Interact with customers to gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships.
- Be hands-on with the engineering and field service group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025, with a preferred educational focus in Power Systems studies.
- Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our field technicians.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and experience using SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software is a plus.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and effectively communicate directly to customers and co-workers.
- Knowledge or high level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies is a plus, and utility design experience is also a plus.
Pay
The pay range for this position is USD $30.00 - USD $40.00 per hour.
