We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer who is driven with a desire for continuous learning and development. This is an on-site position in Utica, NY, and U.S. citizenship is required for federal clearance compliance.

Responsibilities

• Integrate automated security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) directly into CI/CD pipelines to detect vulnerabilities early.
• Write and enforce codified security policies for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring resources are provisioned securely.
• Ensure infrastructures are protected from threats and attacks.
• Partner with development teams to rapidly identify, contain, and resolve live security incidents or misconfigurations.
• Monitor threats, perform regular risk assessments, and prioritize the patching of security flaws before releases.
• Educate developers on secure coding practices and provide reusable patterns and libraries for quicker, safer builds.
• Work with customers to construct intelligent systems that evolve and adapt to ever-changing security threats.
• Assist our Senior Software Developer/Architect in building artificial intelligence systems to create models trained on data sets that can predict and adapt to outcomes and security threats.
• Build high-quality, innovative, and high-performing software that complies with coding standards, technical design, and industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional software development or programming experience.
• Demonstrated experience with proprietary and open-source Artificial Intelligence Models.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Demonstrated experience navigating, building on, or managing third-party cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with DevSecOps pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a federal security clearance.
• Experience developing for embedded systems and Linux+ and/or Security+ certifications preferred but not required.
• Systems programming experience using Python, Java, Rust, C++, SQL desired.

Pay

Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000
