New Construction Technician (Data Center)

This position requires fieldwork which may include overtime, weekends, holidays, and off hours. Travel may be required depending on the business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform data center cage and overhead ladder rack installation in accordance with industry standards.
• Understand and adhere to customer timelines.
• Coordinate and communicate activities with other employees, departments, and management.
• Install Unistrut, containment, and overhead support systems.
• Measure and cut accurately, install level and plumb.
• Read and follow drawings and instructions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic tools, construction practices, and communication networks.
• Good work ethics and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and make sound decisions based on given information.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Education Level: High School/GED.
• 2-4 years of relevant job experience (experience in a similar industry or with similar essential duties).

Skills

• Carpentry, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Construction, or Project Management experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Ability to lift upwards of 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Pay

$23 - $34 an hour
