About the role

The Product Architecture Engineer plays a critical role in driving innovation within Micron's Compute and Memory Business Unit. This role focuses on developing and optimizing DRAM-based solutions for emerging computing systems, collaborating with customers, ecosystem partners, and internal development teams to ensure successful deployment of new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of DRAM memory technologies, fabrication processes, system architectures, interconnects, signaling, power, performance, reliability, and cost tradeoffs to define optimized memory solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers, system architects, and ecosystem partners to identify requirements, evaluate technology trends, analyze competitive solutions, and drive successful design-in activities.
  • Create product concepts, technical requirements, whitepapers, specifications, training materials, and other user documentation to support new memory technologies and intellectual property development.
  • Represent Micron in industry standards organizations, technical conferences, and consortia while building strong relationships with customers and key technology partners.
  • Apply AI-assisted analysis and engineering tools to support technology evaluation, market insights, product planning, and technical decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with memory architecture, DRAM technologies, and system-level hardware design concepts.
  • Experience evaluating hardware/software interactions, system requirements, and performance tradeoffs in complex computing environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill and present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, multi-functional engineering environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with datacenter, high-performance computing, Artificial Intelligence, or advanced memory system architectures.
  • Knowledge of memory interfaces, protocols, PHY design, signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and system interconnect technologies.
  • Experience participating in industry standards groups, technical conferences, customer-facing engineering activities, or technology consortia.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, Artificial Intelligence technologies, or data-driven engineering methodologies to improve analysis, innovation, and technical productivity.

Pay

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000.00 - $191,000.00 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
