New Accounts Specialist
We are seeking a New Accounts Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Capital Bancorp, Inc. This innovative community bank, along with its mortgage and digital banking platforms, serves over 40 states and nearly 700,000 customers. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide retail banking services to clients both in person and over the phone.
- Offer suggestions and solutions to clients regarding account openings, consumer lending, and money market products, aligning with their financial goals.
- Demonstrate strong customer service by being attentive, listening, and connecting with customers, processing transactions quickly and accurately, and maintaining a positive banking environment.
- Aid customers with debit card maintenance, create and print debit cards, and assist with digital banking needs.
- Answer phones and provide general financial services information.
- Perform work under direct supervision, handling basic issues and referring more complex matters to higher-level staff.
- Process banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, GL tickets, originate wires, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, etc.
- Successfully balance teller drawers daily and maintain and balance ATMs as necessary.
- Compile information and documentation for stop pays, account closings, and input information into the system.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- 0-2 years of direct experience as a Personal Banker or similar financial services position
- Strong customer service skills
- Cash handling experience
- Intermediate Excel skills (at minimum)
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Quick learner and adaptable
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
