About the Role

Join a well-established, physician-led neuroscience program with 30 years of history serving Southern Arizona. You'll practice complex spine surgery, neurotrauma, skull-base surgery, and cerebrovascular care alongside a cohesive, multidisciplinary team. The program is backed by state-of-the-art technology and includes a dedicated Physician Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Program Coordinator assigned to your practice. A neurosurgeon-led Neuroendovascular team manages stroke and cerebrovascular services, allowing you to focus on your clinical practice while benefiting from comprehensive neuroscience support. This is a rare opportunity to build a career within a respected, collaborative program at a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex spine surgery, neurotrauma, skull-base surgery, and cerebrovascular care
• Conduct clinic visits on non-operative days (12–14 patients per day)
• Perform 4–6 surgeries per week on average, with higher volume while on call
• Participate in inpatient rounding before clinic and between cases as needed
• Share call coverage on a 1:5 rotation (one-week blocks, Monday–Monday) at Carondelet St. Joseph’s Hospital (Level I Trauma Center)
• Maintain a 30-minute response time requirement during call, with full PA support

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
• Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
• Spine fellowship training preferred; new graduates welcome to apply
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

Schedule

• OR block time: minimum 2 days per week
• Clinic on non-operative days
• Call schedule: 1:5 rotation, one-week blocks (Monday–Monday)
