About the role

Inpatient practice setting focusing on general neurosurgery (adult) with trauma experience. The position involves VP shunt and ICP monitor placement, spinal surgery with and without instrumentation, and requires a 20‑minute call response time. Expect a 24‑hour beeper call averaging 14‑21 shifts per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform general neurosurgery (adult) procedures with trauma expertise.
• Place VP shunts and ICP monitors.
• Conduct spinal surgeries both with and without instrumentation.
• Maintain 24‑hour beeper availability and respond within 20 minutes.
• Complete assignment details and time entry via the online portal.

Requirements

• ACLS and BLS certification.
• Experience in general neurosurgery (adult) with trauma.
• Proficiency in VP shunt and ICP monitor placement.
• Ability to perform spinal surgery with and without instrumentation.
• Work at a stroke‑certified facility.
