Neurosurgeon – Functional, Epilepsy, & Neuro-Oncology

About the Role

General neurosurgery position with sub-specialization in functional, epilepsy, and neuro-oncology preferred. Serve as a mentor for residents, fellows, and medical students in the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Institute. The department has active clinical and translational research programs as well as numerous ongoing clinical trials.

• Department of Neurosurgery has a fully accredited seven-year neurosurgery residency program and is the only academic Neurosurgery Department in Central Texas with ten full-time faculty members in a major teaching hospital, a Level-I Trauma Center, and Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine
• Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
• Board certified or board eligible in neurosurgery
• Where applicable, employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
