About the role
The Neurosurgery team at Utah Valley Hospital currently has 4 neurosurgeons, and 4 neurosurgery advanced practice providers. Utah Valley Hospital is a level II trauma facility with a Primary Stroke Center performing mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke and is Joint Commission accredited in Advanced Spine Surgery.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate clinical and surgical cases at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah
- Surgical cases will be at local ASC; potential to participate in ASC
- Eventual flexible clinic/OR schedule; anticipated to initially be 2-days/week in clinic and 2-days/week of OR surgical time
- General neurological surgery at a level II trauma center
- Unrestricted neurosurgical call requirement; compensation offered for call requirement
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- ACGME accredited residency training in Neurosurgery
- Fellowship trained in Neurological Surgery
- Board certified in Neurological Surgery
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- BLS certification and DEA
