As an academic and clinical Neurosurgeon, you will provide comprehensive general and trauma neurosurgery services while working with learners, residents, and fellows from Creighton University School of Medicine.

The Neuroscience Institute integrates leading medical experts in neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology, and neurosurgery to deliver advanced care for patients with complex neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general and trauma neurosurgery services.
• Assume primary and backup call shifts, including inpatient care at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital (a Level 1 Trauma Center).
• Cover outpatient clinic when on backup call.
• Engage in clinical research and receive an academic appointment commensurate with experience.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the Neuroscience Institute.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board eligible or board certified in Neurosurgery.
• Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska and DEA certification.
• BLS certification.

Work Structure & Environment

• Join a team of 5 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers.
• Primary practice location at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center and Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Certified Center with a biplane suite.
• Modern OR equipment, including Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, and O-Arm.
• Two-week/14-day on-service rotation with flexibility and input into scheduling.
• Opportunities for clinical research and academic appointments through Creighton University School of Medicine.
