Summary
The Neurophysiology Technologist I is an entry-level position in the Neurophysiology Department. This role performs neurophysiology procedures such as electroencephalograms. Technologists must be able to perform duties independently without direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform neurophysiology procedures (e.g., electroencephalograms)
- Work independently using efficient time management and organizational skills
- Relate to diverse age and demographic backgrounds
- Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone
- Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks
- Have attention to detail and teamwork skills
- Use Microsoft Office proficiently
Requirements
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program, ABRET approved education program, or an Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- 6 months experience working in a patient care environment preferred
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registries
- R. EEG T registry eligible preferred
Nonessential: Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications
- Registered EEG Technician
Nonessential: Education with Equivalent Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics Technology
Nonessential: Experience with Equivalent Qualifications
- 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Laboratory Services
