About the role

This research position focuses on low power electronic devices and circuits. The challenges with current transistor technologies are driving a need for new approaches to high performance computing, specifically through the development of neuromorphic devices based on ferroelectric FETs and electrochemically gated devices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize neuromorphic devices based on ferroelectric FETs and electrochemically gated devices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate materials, device design, and circuit development.
  • Contribute to the advancement of neuromorphic computing and non-volatile memory devices.
  • Write and submit a research proposal to the ARL-RAP review panel.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of device physics and basic circuit design.
  • Prior experience with concepts in deep learning, neuromorphic computing, and non-volatile memory devices is desired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctoral Degree in relevant fields.
  • Strong academic background in materials sciences, electronics, or related disciplines.

Skills

  • Device physics expertise.
  • Basic circuit design skills.
  • Experience with neuromorphic computing and non-volatile memory devices.
