About the role
As a Neurology Veterinary Assistant at Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE), you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care, procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia preparation, and client communication. - Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care
- Support MRI and CT imaging workflows
- Assist with anesthesia preparation and patient monitoring
- Help maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets
- Provide compassionate client communication and patient updates
- Work closely with Neurology, ER, and Specialty teams to support case flow and patient care
Requirements
- Veterinary Assistant experience required
- Specialty or emergency experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for learning and growing within specialty medicine
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Washington State license as a Veterinary Technician (VT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA)
- Experience with veterinary equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficiency with medical record keeping software
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina
