Neurology Veterianry Assistant

About the role

At Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE), we provide advanced emergency and specialty care in a collaborative, supportive environment where learning and teamwork are highly valued. Our Neurology department works closely with a board-certified neurologist/neurosurgeon and utilizes advanced imaging including MRI and CT to diagnose and treat complex medical and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care
  • Support MRI and CT imaging workflows
  • Assist with anesthesia preparation and patient monitoring
  • Help maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets
  • Provide compassionate client communication and patient updates
  • Work closely with Neurology, ER, and Specialty teams to support case flow and patient care

Requirements

  • Veterinary Assistant experience required
  • Specialty or emergency experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for learning and growing within specialty medicine

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current Washington State license as a Veterinary Technician (VT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA)
  • Current CPR certification

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with medical record keeping software
  • Knowledge of anesthesia protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$23 - $28 USD per hour
