About the role
The Sleep Care Advanced Practice Provider works a daytime schedule in an ambulatory setting, managing initial patient consultations and ongoing follow-up visits to provide quality health care for Sleep Center patients. The APRN engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the health care continuum, with a primary focus on Sleep Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the health care continuum, with a primary focus on Sleep Medicine.
- Collaborates with the Sleep Center's Physicians, clinical and administrative staff, patients, and their families to facilitate and improve patient care.
- Provides patient education to enhance their long-term health.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program.
- Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
- Certified, or eligible to be certified, as National Board Certification as an Ambulatory Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Sleep Medicine experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
