Neurology - Locums

Role Overview

A Neurology provider is sought to cover inpatient services in Lafayette, LA, primarily focusing on stroke and general neuro cases. The position involves 24-hour call shifts, with a patient volume of 10-15 daily. The provider will collaborate with a team of nurse practitioners, including 3 stroke coverage NPs and 1 general neuro NP.

Responsibilities

• Cover inpatient neuro services
• Manage stroke and general neuro patients
• Provide comprehensive neurological care during assigned shifts
• EMR documentation will be done using Epic

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be Board certified in Neurology and possess an active LA license or IMLC
• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical skills are essential

Key Duties

• Participate in inpatient neuro coverage
• Support stroke management
• Cookordination with NP staff
