Neurology Clinical Navigator (Full Time)

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals for appropriateness of services requested by a referral source.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate the needs of the patient and collaborate with providers, case managers, nursing staff, and the entire multi-disciplinary care team to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained for payer coverage.
• Act as the point of contact for patient/family/legal representative and communicate any changes in the patient’s medical condition that may impact their care plan and the outcome of the referral.
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.
• Handle prior authorizations for the specialty clinic.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines, ensure accuracy, and handle constantly changing situations.
• Interact effectively with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and resolve conflicts.
• Perform all assigned job duties or tasks and adhere to all requirements, regulations, and procedures of any licensing board or agency.
• Comply with all Benefis Health System’s organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current LPN, CMA, or RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS preferred.
• Meditech and NextGen experience preferred.

Pay

Starting wage: $20.30/hour. Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience.
