Treatment and Care
Treat adults who have neurological illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and general concerns in accordance with standards of care.
Pick up, record, and keep track of patient information, like medical history, reports, and examination results, following HIPAA regulations.
- Prescribe or give out treatment, therapy, medicine, vaccinations, and other special medical care to treat or avoid illness and disease.
- Examine patients or order, perform, and explain diagnostic tests to find out about their medical condition and figure out what's wrong.
- Give advice to patients and community members about diet, exercise, cleanliness, and disease prevention.
- Explain procedures and talk about test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Watch over patients' conditions and progress and change treatments if needed.
- Direct and organize activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
- Perform in-clinic procedures on patients to take out, fix, or enhance the function of damaged or hurt body parts and systems.
- Do research to learn about anatomy and develop or try out medicines, treatments, or methods to avoid or deal with disease or injury.
Workload
Spend 100% of your time focusing on direct patient care, which includes time spent interacting with patients and general administrative tasks (like charting, meetings, etc.) that relate to direct patient care.
Employer Participation
