About the role
The Department of Neurology at VCU Health - Richmond, VA seeks a full-time Neurologist specializing in Movement Disorders. The position will provide patient care, engage in medical student and neurology resident and fellow education, and participate in clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Primary clinical responsibilities include care of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings with an emphasis on movement disorders and deep brain stimulation.
- Teaching responsibilities involve teaching medical students and housestaff, organizing and developing conferences for housestaff and students, and attending weekly Grand Rounds.
- Research responsibilities include participation in and leadership of clinical research and clinical trials within the Division of General Neurology.
- Service responsibilities include serving on departmental, School of Medicine, and University committees as necessary, as well as contributing to professional activities in the field.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Neurology
- Completed an accredited Movement Disorders Fellowship
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
