Join a growing Neurology program where you can build the practice you want, work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team, and enjoy the flexibility of inpatient, outpatient, or combined practice. Skagit Regional Health’s growing and collaborative Neurology department has the support of an established care team, including one physician and two ARNPs, as well as per diem and locums providers. With plans to expand to six providers, this is an exciting opportunity to join a department with significant room for growth and the ability to help shape its future. Our clinical team is supported by experienced MAs and RNs, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Flexible Practice Model

This is a full-time position with a 36-hour scheduled patient-contact expectation, along with a shared weekend call rotation. Enjoy the flexibility to design your practice around your interests.

  • Hybrid inpatient/outpatient practice with inpatient responsibilities at Skagit Valley Hospital, conveniently located directly across the street. Inpatient coverage is supported by our strong Hospitalist program, providing a collaborative and well-integrated approach to patient care.
  • Outpatient-only practice for physicians who prefer to focus exclusively on ambulatory Neurology.

Favorable Call Structure

  • Shared call approximately 1:4
  • No Stroke Call responsibilities
  • Call is primarily consultative
  • Stroke coverage is provided by Tele-Stroke Neurohospitalists

Engage with the next generation of physicians through teaching opportunities with medical students from PNWU and residents from our own SRH Residency Programs.

Hospital-Employed Position & Strong Support

This is a hospital-employed position with the benefit of an established, in-house primary care and specialty referral network. You’ll have access to a broad system-wide care infrastructure designed to support both physicians and patients. Our organization utilizes an integrated Epic EMR platform system-wide, with newly implemented Abridge ambient AI technology available to help streamline clinical documentation and reduce administrative burden.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited Neurology residency program
  • Board Eligible/Board Certification required
  • Must have active BLS certification before starting or within first week of employment
