Neurologist
About the role
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a full-time civilian Neurologist at Nellis AFB in Nevada. The position is Monday through Friday, 0730 - 1630, with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and disorders of the nervous system.
- Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.
- Capable of performing lumbar punctures, interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography.
- Perform evoked potentials and electroencephalograms.
- Capable of providing chemo denervation (such as botulinum toxin injections) for common neurological conditions.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an ACGME approved Neurology Medical Residency.
- A minimum of 2 years of neurologic clinical experience required.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Board certification in adult Neurology.
- Unrestricted Medical License in Nevada.
Qualifications
Freedom from Malpractice Insurance Worries. Outpatient environment with consultation for inpatient services and stroke coverage when on-call.
