Primary Responsibilities
- Perform detailed neurological evaluations, examinations, and follow-up visits for established and new patients.
- Order and interpret appropriate testing, including EEG, EMG/NCS, laboratory studies, and imaging.
- Manage chronic neurological conditions such as migraines, seizure disorders, neuropathy, neurovascular diseases, and chronic neurologic illnesses common among Veterans.
- Provide patient counseling, education, and shared decision-making regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and medication management.
- Perform neurologic procedures as credentialed (examples include Botox injections, lumbar puncture, EMG/NCS, EEG interpretation).
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including internal medicine, pain management, behavioral health, and rehabilitation services.
- Accurately document care using VA electronic health systems (training provided).
- Participate in clinic process optimization and contribute to quality-focused initiatives.
Work Environment & Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Shared call rotation for inpatient consults and urgent procedures, including nights and weekends as scheduled.
Collaborative support from nursing and administrative personnel.Compensation & Benefits
- $280,000-$315,000 salary
- Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) up to $200,000
