About the role
The Neurohospitalist at Manchester Memorial Hospital is part of the rapidly expanding Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare (HHC). The Institute focuses on comprehensive patient care, academics, and research, with a team of world-class neuroscience leaders spanning various specialties.
Responsibilities
- 24 weeks of inpatient coverage per year, covering a full week from 7 AM Monday to 7 AM Monday, including a share of evening call coverage
- Attending coverage on the general neurology service or neurology consult service (or both)
- Examine, diagnose, manage, and treat patients with a variety of neurological disorders
- Provide inpatient consultation for neurology patients
- Actively participate in neurology didactic sessions
- Attend Hartford Hospital Grand Rounds and other teaching lectures as appropriate
- Participate in monthly Neurohospitalist Lecture Series
- May participate in other activities such as clinical research, quality improvement, patient experience initiatives, resident and faculty interviews, and lectures to professional or public audiences – as agreed upon with the faculty member and the Chief of Neurology
