About the Role

This position is part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space, responsible for the performance of an approved long-acting injectable, as well as promoting existing Psychiatry products in the Lincoln, NE area. The Sales Specialist delivers results by aligning resources to meet organizational objectives in a compliant and ethical manner. This role involves analyzing trends, planning business activities, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive value and achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve all sales performance goals and objectives for the assigned geographical territory.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training.
  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals.
  • Sell in different settings of care and identify key business opportunities within these settings.
  • Build rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees and external contacts (e.g., healthcare providers and office staff) at all levels.
  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product and patient education.
  • Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on face-to-face interactions with top target customers.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance and company effectiveness.
  • Adhere to all Teva’s compliance policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Full-time documented business-to-business sales experience preferred; pharmaceutical sales experience preferred, with experience in psychiatric therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
  • Record of successfully achieving sales goals and building effective customer relationships.
  • Experience successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care.
  • Ability to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology.
  • Understanding of reimbursement coverage, pull-through strategies, and experience in settings such as CMHC, specialty pharmacy, and private practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing preferred.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience calling on community mental health centers (CMHC) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required, including overnight and/or weekend travel.
  • Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must successfully pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screening.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.

Level of the role will be commensurate with years of experience and performance criteria:

  • Sales Specialist: Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Executive Sales Specialist: Minimum 7 years of experience.

Current territory boundaries include: North (Norfolk), South (Kearney), East (Lincoln), West (Scottbluff). Boundaries are subject to change based on business need.

Pay

The annual starting salary for this position is between $88,000 – $160,000. Factors affecting starting salary include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and qualifications. This position also qualifies for participation in the company’s sales incentive plan, rewarding employees based on achievement of defined sales targets.
