About the Practice
CMG Brain and Spine is expanding its Neuroendovascular program and seeks a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cerebrovascular and neurovascular conditions (e.g., ischemic stroke, intracranial aneurysms, AVMs, carotid disease)
- Provide inpatient care including:
- Pre- and post-procedural assessments
- Daily rounding in ICU and step-down units
- Coordination of care with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and nursing teams
- See follow-up patients in clinic setting
- Assist with neurointerventional procedures as appropriate
- Participate in stroke alerts and neurovascular call coverage
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Perform procedures within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Document care in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner
About The Role
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
- No call
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient
- Opportunity to assist in cases once onboarded
- Assisting during stroke code tailored onboarding and learning opportunities, previous experience in Neuro ICU or ER preferred
Qualifications
- Required Education: Masters Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant School
- Required Certifications and Licensures: Current licensure by the State of Virginia as a Physician Assistant ACLS (required only for LFM)
