What You’ll Be Doing
- Facilitating individualized coaching sessions focused on executive functioning, organization, time management, problem solving, communication, emotional regulation, and independence
- S supporting participants in developing functional academic skills through real world application, including money management, scheduling, reading comprehension, technology use, community navigation, and practical math
- Designing and implementing engaging learning opportunities based on participant interests, strengths, and goals
- Teaching transferable life skills through experiential and community based learning opportunities rather than passive supervision
- Supporting vocational exploration, volunteer opportunities, career readiness, and professional skill development
- Facilitating social communication growth through structured peer interactions, collaborative activities, and community engagement
- Creating opportunities for participants to build confidence, self advocacy skills, flexibility, and decision making abilities
- Supporting project based learning experiences related to wellness, entrepreneurship, creativity, movement, community integration, and independent living
- Implementing individualized strategies and supports that align with neurodiversity affirming and person centered practices
- Collaborating with families and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistency, growth, and meaningful outcomes
- Completing professional documentation, session planning, progress tracking, and communication in a timely and organized manner
- Maintaining professionalism, adaptability, leadership, and strong judgment across a variety of dynamic community environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, behavioral support, coaching, mentoring, disability services, youth development, or related fields
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, facilitate, and implement structured learning experiences
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to transport participants safely throughout the community
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass DOJ fingerprint clearance
Compensation & Benefits
- $23 to $28 per hour depending on experience
