Neurodiagnostic Technologist I

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I is responsible for monitoring and recording neurodiagnostic patients, checking the integrity of the electrodes, and communicating with the physician and nurse of changes in patient status.

Work Environment

Functional demand: Medium - High energy level.

• Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
• Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher)
• Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (e.g., Patient)

Sensory and Environment Requirements

• Color Discrimination, Depth Perception, Far Vision, Hearing, Near Vision
• Airborne Communicable Disease, Bloodborne Pathogens, Chemical, Dust Particulate Matter, Extreme Noise Levels, Extreme Temperatures, Radiation, Uneven Surfaces or Elevations

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must be board eligible to take Registered EEG Technologist. Registered EEG Tech must be obtained within one (1) year of hire date.

Preferred:

• One (1) year of pediatric health care experience.
• Associate degree.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Pay

Pay Range:

• Minimum: $35.82
• Midpoint: $47.46
• Maximum: $59.10

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
