About the role

These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services. These jobs are responsible for performing diagnostic neurophysiological and cardiovascular testing to assist in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of neurological and cardiac conditions. This job family focuses on conducting digital electroencephalograms (dEEG) to evaluate brain activity and electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG) to assess heart function.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic neurophysiological and cardiovascular testing to assist in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of neurological and cardiac conditions
  • Conduct digital electroencephalograms (dEEG) to evaluate brain activity and electrocardiograms (EKG or ECG) to assess heart function
  • Support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services
  • May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills
  • Communicate information that requires little explanation or interpretation

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program or an Associate's Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
  • 2 years' experience in patient environment preferred, preferably with a pediatric population

Physical demands

  • Standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping
  • Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to write legibly
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 – 100lbs
  • May be exposed to chemicals, fumes, blood/body fluids and infectious disease

Pay

The pay range for this role is $22.39 - $35.82 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
