About the Role
Assists in performing electroencephalogram (EEG) tests to monitor brain activity, ensuring accurate recording and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain digital EEG equipment, ensuring safety and proper functionality.
- Assist with electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies.
- Document patient care and equipment conditions accurately and timely.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and adhere to departmental policies.
- Support the healthcare team with diagnostic testing and patient care activities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in performing EEG tests on multiple patients.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
- Stand and walk frequently.
- Perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR as needed.
