Job Responsibilities
- Able to work independently and within a team setting.
- Competent in seizure pattern recognition for all patient populations.
- Provide a technologist's impression of studies and relay pertinent information to physicians.
- Obtain relevant patient history to guide testing and explain procedures to patients.
- Demonstrate respect for patients and families, adhering to patient safety guidelines.
- Knowledgeable about medications and their effects on EEG studies.
- Certified in the 10-20 international electrode placement system, ensuring quality data collection.
- Monitor patients during testing and collaborate with physicians for data interpretation.
- Work independently, adapting methods based on clinical observations.
- Communicate effectively in emergencies and provide care during seizures.
- Responsible for setup and maintenance of long-term testing, monitoring skin integrity.
- Skilled in pattern recognition, artifact detection, and data archiving.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain respectful communication with nursing staff, physicians, and colleagues.
- Operate under limited guidance in moderately complex situations, fostering collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
- Two plus (2) years of Neurodiagnostic/EEG technology experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with MEG procedures.
- Previous hospital setting experience.
- Experience with EPIC and NATUS preferred.
