About the role

Ascension Seton is looking for a PRN APRN or PA, Neurointensivist to join our elite team! This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. Join an established team of physicians and APPs in an inpatient setting with a patient population of 15 years and up.

This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system where you will deliver comprehensive direct care by conducting thorough patient histories, physical assessments, and preventative screenings to build an accurate picture of each patient's current health status.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate precise treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care under physician supervision.
  • Manage ongoing health conditions through direct therapeutic interventions and meticulous documentation, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient care journey.
  • Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on preventative health, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
  • Education: Master's degree of Nursing required.

Preferences

  • Acute Care Certification for all APRN applicants
  • Critical Care experience as an APP
