Neuro Vascular Interventional Tech, Full-time, Evening

About the Role

To provide for the needs of patients of varying ages, their family, and physicians. To perform a variety of patient care tasks and procedures in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements. Working in an environment with the application of ionizing radiation for cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal radiologic technology training in a school approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association.
• Successful completion of the Association's examination and/or formal training in Cardiovascular Technology.
• Previous practical experience as a staff Radiologic Technologist and/or Cardiovascular Technician experience.

Skills

• Certification from the State of New Jersey X-ray Technician Board of Examiners required; ARRT certification preferred.
• CPR certification and unit-based orientation.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and risk factors.
• Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and perform tests requiring placement of equipment in sensitive areas.
• Effective interactive and communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and switch tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations and adapt to a changing work environment related to patient needs, including acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
• Ability to work cooperatively within the healthcare system, with patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members (e.g., physicians, Respiratory, DI, LAB, etc.).
• Critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to effectively problem-solve and deliver care.

Location & Schedule

This position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus. Shift: Evening.

Pay

Pay Range: $45.52 - $56.90 per hour.
