Neuro Step Down RN (Full-Time)
Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a neuro unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families, and communicates effectively across care settings. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychological, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Qualifications
- RN license required
- Nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's preferred
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred for advanced qualifications
