Neuro Medicine Registered Nurse - Nights

About the role

Responsible for providing direct patient care in a specialized neuro-monitoring environment, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The position offers opportunities to develop critical thinking, assessment, problem-solving, and time management skills through work in a diverse neuro-medicine and epilepsy monitoring unit.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care; educate on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs; consider patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses: Active RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred.
