Covenant Medical Group, in partnership with Covenant Health, is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist or a Board Certified Neurosurgeon with Interventional Endovascular fellowship to join our growing neuroscience program in Lubbock, TX.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative, high-acuity stroke and neurovascular program serving a large regional footprint across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in Neurosurgery with an Endovascular/Interventional Fellowship and have a passion for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide minimally invasive, image-guided neurovascular procedures
  • Diagnose and treat conditions such as:
    • Acute ischemic stroke
    • Cerebral aneurysms
    • Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
    • Carotid artery disease
    • Intracranial stenosis
  • Participate in a comprehensive stroke program, including call coverage
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, and radiologists
  • Support growth of the neurointerventional service line
  • Participate in quality improvement, research, and program development
  • Perform a full range of neurointerventional procedures, including:
    • Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
    • Aneurysm coiling and embolization
    • AVM/AVF embolization
    • Carotid and intracranial stenting
  • Provide consultation and collaborative care for complex neurovascular cases
  • Participate in stroke call rotation and acute stroke response
  • Collaborate closely with neurology, neurosurgery, and ED teams
  • Contribute to program development, quality initiatives, and clinical protocols
  • Participate in teaching opportunities (if applicable with TTUHSC affiliation)

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of:
    • Diagnostic Radiology residency or Neurology/Neurosurgery residency (as applicable)
    • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology / Endovascular Neurosurgery
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in appropriate specialty
  • Eligible for Texas medical licensure
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills with a patient-centered approach
