Neuro ICU - PRN Nurse Tech

About the role

We are seeking a collaborative member to join our team. This position works closely with a licensed nurse and Patient Care Technicians to deliver patient care. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a safe environment and providing basic care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Absorb and implement the plan of care as delegated by the staff nurse within the scope of practice.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed the sophomore year with a hospital-based clinical rotation of a National League of Nursing accredited school program.
• Student in good standing with the school of nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire.
• Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) to be obtained within 30 days from hire.

Qualifications

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to use good judgement and monitor and respond to patient related changes in condition.
Ability to adapt to change in a positive constructive manner.
