Networking in Respiratory

ARRA is a group of respiratory researchers interested in improving the way respiratory care is delivered.

Networks & Collaborations

• British Thoracic Society (BTS): As of 1 March 2023, BTS has 4,264 members, including doctors, nurses, respiratory physiotherapists, physiologists, and scientists.
• Bronch-UK: A multidisciplinary collaboration between more than 9 UK universities, bringing together basic scientists and clinicians focused on bronchiectasis. It includes a network and biobank.
• Interstitial Lung Diseases Interdisciplinary Network (ILD-IN): Supports the development of regional networks for healthcare professionals specializing in ILD.
• NTM Network UK: Established in 2014 to improve the management of rising NTM (non-tuberculous mycobacteria) infections in clinical practice.
• Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS) Peer Support Network: Local respiratory networks help members stay up-to-date with the latest research and practices while sharing experiences.
• Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS) Mentorship Programme: Provides access to support from leading respiratory clinical experts and opportunities to participate in major respiratory conferences.
• The INtegrated reSPIratory REsearch collaborative (INSPIRE): The UK’s research network for early career doctors and allied health professionals in respiratory care.
• The Respiratory Advanced Clinical Practitioner Network: Aims to share best practices, develop policies and procedures, and support newer practitioners through collective experience.
• UK Pleural Society: Promotes understanding, runs educational courses, and supports research in pleural disease.
