About the role

Supermicro is seeking a Network Validation Engineer to perform manual testing and create automation for web-based applications on switches, SCM, SCC, Ethernet cards, InfiniBand switches, and HBAs.

Responsibilities

• Testing front-end GUI
• Create and maintain automation for front-end applications
• Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress, and reliability testing
• Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
• Document and analyze test data
• Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
• Contribute to the development of test utilities and test script automation
• Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 2+ years of working knowledge in hardware/networking field
• Experience with front-end web-based testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or PlayWright
• Familiarity with REST API, Postman, or curl
• Knowledge of computer networking, SONiC, TCP/IP, L2/L3, SDN, and InfiniBand
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and networking
• Strong skills in Python and Bash scripting
• PowerShell scripting is a plus
• Strong sense of teamwork, good communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively
• Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus

Pay

Salary range: $90,000–$105,000. The salary offered will depend on factors including location, level, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
