Network Technician Site Lead

Purpose and Impact

Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking a Network Technician Site Lead to lead site surveys and installation activities supporting the Skywalker program. The role involves conducting site surveys, creating survey reports and bills of material (BOMs), and serving as the installation lead for each installation planned under the contract. Experience developing CAD drawings for wireless security systems and presenting site plans is expected.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess facility requirements and installation readiness.
• Develop site survey reports, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and installation documentation.
• Lead installation teams during WIDS deployment activities.
• Coordinate with Program Management, engineering personnel, and customer representatives throughout the installation process.
• Develop and review CAD drawings and site layouts supporting WIDS installations.
• Ensure installations comply with engineering standards, security requirements, and customer specifications.
• Monitor installation progress and resolve field issues to maintain project schedules.
• Review completed installation documentation and report deployment status to Program Management.
• Maintain accountability for installation quality, safety, and configuration management at assigned sites.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

The position is primarily office‑based but may require on‑site work installing sensors and wiring, which involves climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lb.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience conducting site surveys for WIDS or similar technical security system deployments.
• Knowledge of WIDS installation practices, structured cabling, and secure facility requirements.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical installation documentation.
• Experience developing and interpreting CAD drawings and site layouts.
• Ability to lead installation teams and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel worldwide.
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum five (5) years conducting site surveys and system installations; minimum three (3) years leading technical installation teams in DoD and/or Intelligence Community environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP certification.

Other Responsibilities

• Safety: Participate in safety training, self‑aid/buddy‑aid, emergency response, and safety committees; adhere to Amentum’s drug‑free workplace policy and complete required drug screening.
• Quality: Follow Amentum Quality Policy and applicable quality system documents; ensure services meet customer expectations.
• Procedure Compliance: Understand and implement operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all relevant plans, procedures, and policies.

Compensation

Salary range: $146,000 – $166,000 (estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, internal equity, market data, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws).
