Network Technician I

About the role

We are seeking a Network Technician to provide hands-on IT infrastructure and network support within a manufacturing and laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will support network deployments, server hardware, lab systems, printers, and IT projects while working closely with remote support teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wired, and wireless network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and cable network equipment, servers, and storage hardware.
• Cook up with vendors for fiber/copper cabling and infrastructure installations.
• Support Windows workstations, lab PCs, virtual machines, OS installations, patching, and system configurations.
• Configure and troubleshoot network printers and endpoint devices.
• Aid with infrastructure projects including hardware refreshes, office expansions, and IT deployments.
• Provide basic server break/fix support, including hardware replacements and rack-and-stack activities.
• Support Zoom Room setup and AV equipment as needed.
• Document work in ServiceNow and communicate effectively with technical and business teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in network and infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switching, wireless networking, and structured cabling.
• Experience with Windows OS, server hardware, printers, and endpoint support.
• Familiarity with fiber and copper cabling installations.
• Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Onsite role in a manufacturing/chemical processing environment.
• Must follow all safety requirements and wear required PPE (FRC, steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves).
• Ability to travel between nearby facilities and lift/move IT equipment when required.
