Network Storage Engineer, Senior

About the role

As a senior network storage engineer, you'll architect, deploy, and operate complex network environments for various DoW clients in the Indo-Pacific region. Your responsibilities include creating and employing new storage architectures to meet client requirements while adhering to Zero Trust best practices in hybrid environments that require high resiliency for data access. You'll interface with key stakeholders and users, including internal delivery and engineering teams as well as cybersecurity professionals, to ensure resilient data-centric delivery. Additionally, you'll assist with designing and implementing custom policies to ensure positive control of data across hybrid cloud environments and mentor the next generation of storage engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create and employ new storage architectures to meet client requirements while adhering to Zero Trust best practices in hybrid environments.
• Interface with key stakeholders and users, including internal delivery and engineering teams as well as cybersecurity professionals, to ensure resilient data-centric delivery.
• Aid in designing and implementing custom policies to ensure positive control of data across hybrid cloud environments.
• Mentor the next set of storage engineers to help them grow into tomorrow’s data architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and configuring network storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
• Experience with provisioning storage and performance tuning for operational demand.
• Experience with backup and recovery planning and implementation, including configurations and policy.
• Experience with a major vendor, including Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience in virtual environment management such as VMware solutions.
• Experience with hybrid networks and virtualization technologies.
• Experience documenting and diagramming technical architectures.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering field.

Skills

• Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, and frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessment, and risk management processes for enterprise systems.
• Storage Management and Administration Certification such as Dell, HPE, NetApp, AWS, or Azure Certification.

Pay

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees working remotely or on a hybrid schedule may be required to work from a Booz Allen office or customer facility as needed.
