Network Engineer, Senior

About the role

A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable DoD organizations to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
• Analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for critical network systems
• Apply expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing and forwarding
• Optimize client operations and modernize

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Information technology, cybersecurity, or enterprise networking
• Experience with networking or routing practices and components such as HPE Aruba, Cisco, SonicWALL, Juniper, and commercial IT network component vendors
• Experience with virtualization software and management, Windows and Linux OS and scripting such as PowerShell, bash, or batch
• Ability to configure, administer, and maintain multiple firewalls from various vendors
• Ability to configure VPN gateways, dynamic and static, with Virtual router and forwarding
• Knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• CISSP, Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and CCNA or CCIE Certification

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Our work model supports collaboration, whether in person or virtually. Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings. The work model varies depending on the position, with options including remote, hybrid, and onsite.
