Responsibilities
- Analyze a wide array of networking metrics and recognize substandard network performance.
- Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware, software and services using a project-based timeline.
- Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
- Make expert decisions and recommendations on how to resolve, improve, or prevent network problems/issues.
- Engineer, implement, and sustain network monitoring and management tools and ensure tools are properly functioning and collecting network telemetry and performance metrics to support troubleshooting and analysis functions.
- Develop and update IT systems concept of operations and engineering plans.
- Submit daily performance reports and ensures automates performance tools are functioning correctly.
- Manage files storage and safeguards data.
- Cook up all efforts closely with Modeling and Simulation and engineering (Systems, Network, Cybersecurity) to ensure adequate data collection and prevent overlaps or conflicts of effort.
- Provide LAN/WAN support.
Qualifications
- 5 + years experience in network and systems analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Must be Security+ certified (or hold equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II).
- Must hold the following certifications: CCNA, SolarWinds Certified Professional, and NCA.
- Must hold the ITIL v5 Foundations certification or be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire.
- Experience with SolarWinds, Netscout, and UNIX/Linux.
- Working knowledge of network and or end user device monitoring tools/system a plus.
- Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and understand large-scale system development.
- Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to provide support in a 24/7/365 environment including occasionally covering shifts outside of the assigned shift and/or providing after hours, weekend, or holiday support as needed on a rotational basis.
- Must be able to travel to CONUS sites to provide TDY support.
- Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
